Every Member Shares
When you join Sedera, you immediately start contributing to the Sedera Medical Cost Sharing Community on a monthly basis.
Every member opens a Medical Cost Sharing account as the first step in this process. This is the place where you deposit your monthly Membership Contribution and the place where other members share with you.
You know how much to contribute monthly based on the Membership you have designed.
Designing Your Medical Cost Sharing Membership
To design your Membership, decide the following two things:
- Who in your family will participate?
- How much do you want to pay for a Medical Need before asking the Community to share?
(This amount is what we call an Initial Unshareable Amount or IUA.)

You Pay Your Medical Provider
When the Community shares in your Medical Need, you pay your doctor for the services they provide.
This is intentional. You are a cash pay patient who works directly with your doctor to decide on the best care at the best price. No third parties are involved in this transaction, but you have a supportive Community behind you when you need it most.
